Where have I been?

Hello lovelies!
It's definitely been a while since I've blogged, 8 months to be exact, but life has kind of been in the way and to be perfectly honest - blogging has just not been on my agenda.
However, I have quite a lot of time off this summer and I suddenly have the urge to blog again. I don't know how long it will last this time but we shall see.
So I thought I'd welcome myself back with a little update as I always do.
I haven't really blogged in 2016 so it feels like I have a lot to catch you up with but at the same time, nothing crazy has really happened.

I'm still living in Central London, I have a completely different job than the one I had at the beginning of the year, my job has its ups and downs, some of the ups being that I have made so many friends, I get to travel quite a lot around the UK (I'm staying in Leeds this weekend) and I get to work at some incredible venues!

What else has happened?
I recently got back from a trip to Lutry in Switzerland with some of my friends and it was the most beautiful place I've ever seen (expect a blog post soon!)
Earlier in the year I went up North to spend some time with my family including my grandparents which was so relaxing.
Other than that I feel like this year has just been a year of me exploring a little bit more, not so much in a travelling the world sense, but I feel a lot happier in myself as a person, I have great people around me, my anxiety is better than ever and I find myself doing things that I would never have dreamt of doing this time two years ago.

I'm going to try to get a lot of posts up over the next few weeks as I kinda just feel like writing and rambling, I don't know where it will go but I'm quite excited.
Stay tuned.

Quitting your job...

A bit of a rambling post (yet again) today, about a subject that affected 2015 for me a lot and I wish I had a little more advice on back then.
In January 2015 I quit my job for the first time ever. It was such a horrible experience and I never want to relive it. In November 2015, I quit another job, the second time around, I felt nothing but relief and happiness.

Lets rewind a little, in 2014 I had been working for a company for a year, at the time I didn´t realise I was being treated so badly. After a recent promotion I was being expected to do things outside of my job role, and although I was more than happy to go above and beyond for a job I had a feeling I was being taken advantage of.
In January 2015 I finally quit that job, it was the first time I had ever quit a job (I have usually had to leave jobs because of moving etc.). It was such a difficult decision for me to make but I knew I had to. I remember feeling so guilty after getting a promotion and then leaving, but enough was enough and my boss made me feel horriblly guilty for quitting. It took a lot for me to do that and I hoped that would be the last of it...

A month later I had found a new job and I was ecstatic, I was finally free of a place where I felt uncomfortable and unhappy and I could relax a little.
However things quickly took a turn for the worse and I found myself back at square one. Doing more work than should ever have been expected of me, going home and worrying about work every night and being miserable and generally unexcited about it.

The second time around things were much easier, I didn´t feel guilty whatsoever, I knew that work should never take over my life, in particular my personal life and I knew that in time I would find a job that I was happy with.

I´m not saying that the second things get hard within your job then quit, not by any means.
But if everyday you are spending your life thinking and worrying about work then maybe you need to re-evaluate. It´s so easy to get caught up in work and to let people take advantage of you just because you´re a hard worker, but trust me when I say that there are more opportunities out there.
You should never feel guilty for leaving something behind that makes you unhappy.
For me it was just building up the courage to actually quit, but once I had I felt so much better, and you will too!

thank you thank you thank you!

that's me by the way.
i feel like i never show pictures of myself on here so you probably don't even know what i look like (and i've decided to be a bit vein!)
so, i just wanted to give a big apology for how rubbish i've been lately, i've had a bit of a crap time lately and i'm sorry for boring you all to death with how depressed i am.
i also want to give a BIG FAT thank you to all the supportive and lovely comments off you!
i really do appreciate every single one of them :)
while i'm here and in a better mood then i have been lately i may as well give you the scoop of what's been going on lately (i'll try to cut out a lot of the crappy stuff).
sixth form: rubbish as always, applying for uni though next week, finally narrowed down my five choices to - winchester, northampton, middlesex, de montford and edge hill.
scary times. i've also stopped doing ict as a full A level as i'm failing badly, so now i only do the AS year, it sucks but it's better than having no grade at all i suppose.
dan: me and dan are up and down and you may have guessed but at the moment we're quite good, tomorrow he's off to snowdown on a 200 mile bike ride to raise money for water aid!
so i'm very proud of him but very scared and i'm going to miss him loads.
life in general: my nephew is one tomorrow so my siser is down from london, so it'll be nice to have all my sisters together for a bit tomorrow :)
my great grandad passed away on thursday after being really poorly so that's kinda added to my rubbish mood also.
i've been spending a bit more times with friends lately which has been nice :)
i haven't worked much lately as i mainly do seasonal work, but i'm really excited to work halloween as well as going to my sisters halloween party :D
bit of a long post to make up for my lack of them lately.
i'll try to be a bit cheerier on here from now on :)
hopefully i'll get blogging more soon too!
hope everyone is also good! and thank you again for all your lovely comments :)

EDIT: seems like blogspot doesn't believe in paragraphs.
i did use paragraphs but this stupid site also decideds to mess with my layout!

you can fall if you want to, it's just a matter of how far...

hello chums!
i'm slightly cheerier today, however i still haven't done much exciting things over the weekend. i need a life.
i've worked all weekend! yay.
however it pays off i guess as i treated myself to some new shoes and lots from lush (if no one else wants to treat me i guess i'll have to treat myself)
i've decided that i want to go on holiday so badly!
i need somebody to go with and then i will stop buying shoes and start saving my money, but until then i guess i'll have to just look ahead and think of my walk in wardrobe :)

tomorrow is fancy dress day at work, oh how my job is barrels of fun. (i don't get to dress up though)
my supervisor is also leaving tomorrow so we plan to throw him in the pond! i'm taking my camera in tomorrow just for that!

anyway, i'll blog tomorrow to let you know how that goes and i will hopefully provide pictures.

right now though i'm going to hop in bed with a hot chocolate and catch up on your blogs until i fall asleep (:
hope everybody had a lavley weekend :)

i recieved my john mayer and ellie goulding tickets in the post :)
for business on wednesday me and my business class hosted a locked in 'girls night in' event at house of fraser, which was really fun!
erm, my sister came down from london and i met with her and my other sister yetserday and we shopped and got given flowers :)
and all day today i've worked.

me and dan are a bit better than we was, i don't know what might happen.
i think we need to start spending more time together and just talk about everything but i dunno :/
it's a year and half today since we got together :)
also a year today since i left school! whattttttttttt!?

anyway, i have been kinda busy.
i keep saying i'll go back to blogging loads again soon and i really will, so don't worry.

work experience

so for sixth form we have to do 'work experience' although i already have two jobs they make us do something for two weeks to experience work. fun huh?
anyway, this was all meant to be sorted by november/december time, but as unorganised as i am i only got mine sorted today (i say i did, the teacher did it all)
i'm doing one week in a primary school and the second week in a nursery, i'm really excited for some reason as in school when we did it i was stuck in a repetitive job which i hated wheras a primary/nursery school teacher get to do a range of things :)
i'm excited.

i'm also really excited to get back to work over easter and earn a bit of money because i'm sick of having none and also LUSH have lots of new products i want as well as pretty much everything from accessorize.

so other than having no money, at all. life is pretty good and i'm slowly gaining more followers on this :D yay!
