The Best of 2013!

Hello everyone!
2013 is almost coming to an end, as excited as I always am to begin a new year I'm also sad to leave a great one behind. 2013 was a good one for me, it definitely had a few downs, it had a lot of lessons and a lot of realizations. But one main thing it had was memories. This post is going to be a huge post of my 2013 summary (the good bits) in no particular older.

Enjoy.

1. My 20th birthday
My 20th birthday was perfect, the night before my lovely boyfriend took me for dinner then took me to see Matilda the musical which was amazing!
On the day of my actual birthday he took me to get my hair done, took me shopping then took me to the Marriott County Hall hotel (which was beautiful) then he took me for dinner on a boat along the river Thames! The next day he took me and my friends out to my favourite restaurant. (He's the best). Overall a great birthday.

2. My 1st year anniversary in Brighton

3. Loads of beach visits
I love to be by the water, and as growing up all of my closest beaches were all in Wales I decided my first summer in London would be full of lots of spontaneous beach visits. Including Brighton, Bournemouth and Southend (a few times!)

4. Dinner in St. Tropez
Yes this happened. A surprise birthday treat for my boyfriend's sister was dinner at her favourite restaurant in St. Tropez France. We road tripped from London all the way across France for the weekend at it was lovely (despite the rain).
Read my blog post about it here!

5. Holi One Festival
I love festivals. I knew I wanted to go to one this year and when my friend emailed me about Holi One I knew I HAD to go. I asked my friends and everyone was in! (If you don't know what it is, YouTube it!)
It was honestly one of the best days ever, everyone that came had so much fun and we will definitely be going back next year. Read the blog here!

6. 10 days in Marbella
Fortunately for us, my boyfriend's sister lives in Marbella, so of course we are obliged to visit her (hard life!). In September we flew out for 10 days of sunbathing and cocktails, it was lovely.
Read more here!

7. Endless BBQ's
Me and Chris kinda got into the spirit of hosting BBQ's this summer and probably over did it and threw far too many. He'd be on cooking duty and I was on cocktail duty. So much fun.
Blog post here..

Other than all of this fun stuff, I spent 2013 having plenty of picnics in the park, commuting between London and the Midlands to visit my family. Having lots of fun nights out making new friends and seeing Daft Punk and Kelis spontaneously and topped off with a new addition to my family (my niece) and a lovely Christmas.

It's safe to say, 2013 has been pretty good to me.
I've definitely had some pretty big downs which I don't intend on delving into right now, but for the majority it's been a good year and I hope 2014 will be even better.

Marbella

About a month ago I got home from work and my lovely boyfriend had booked us tickets to Marbella in Spain. His sister has a house there so he goes to stay with her a lot, but I'd never been, so obviously I was super excited!
Even though the weather in London had been exceptionally nice all summer (strangely) he had booked for us to go for 10 days at the end of September, to prolong our summer a little more!

We had an lovely time, her house is amazing and we went in the pool every single day.
We pretty much just relaxed, sunbathed, went to the beach, ate really good food and drank plenty of wine and cocktails.
It was perfect.

Here's a few pictures from the holiday :)

The perfect ending to a great summer!

August!

Here in England we had a gorgeous July, with consistent sun and plenty of beach days!
The amount of Sun we have had here is unusual for England and it almost feels like summer is almost over, however today is a kind reminder that we still have a whole month left!

July was great, lots of spontaneous trips, beach days, nights out, picnics and I hope this month is full of much more of that!

I don't have much planned for the month ahead, a couple of birthdays, maybe a holiday and  one thing I'm very excited about is Holi One colour festival next weekend (youtube it)!
Hopefully this month will be full of even more excitedness!

Enjoy the rest of the summer everyone :)

Hi July!

Ahh July, we are now in full swing of summer, well not so much here in the UK, it's hot but you never know what might happen with the weather here!
I love July though, I love summer in general!
Tanned skin, picnics, floaty dresses, neon colours, and any excuse to throw a BBQ and drink cocktails :)

June was quite hectic and I didn't make enough time to blog as regularly, so I'm aiming to hopefully blog a lot more this month.

I have quite a busy month ahead, especially towards the end of the month, I have so many plans I'm already over-planned! Why does everybody make their plans on the same days?!

So hopefully some fun blogs will be heading your way soon :)
In the meantime, you'll find me in a summer dress on Hyde Park trying my best to catch some Sun and maybe eating ice cream!

Enjoy it while it's here!

June!

Hello June and hello summer!

It feels like a while since I've blogged! I've been a bit of a busy bee lately, I went to an event the other day where Kelis and Daft Punk were performing, and I also held another BBQ! I take advantage of the lovely weather!

There's something about this month that makes me very happy, the sun is shining (well, kind of in England) and eating 5 burgers for dinner at BBQ's is acceptable.

May was a fun month, I went to St.Tropez for the weekend, had my first BBQ of the year (and the first BBQ I've ever hosted) and went to a lovely wedding! I love weddings!

But I'm hoping June will be even better, I don't have too many things planned for this month, however for one of Chris' Christmas presents last year I got him tickets to see Jason Manford in Bournemouth which is this month, and I'm also going home to see my family (for the first time since February!) For my little nephew's 1st birthday! So that should be nice!

Other than that you'll find me sunbathing and enjoying cocktails throughout this month and making the most of the sunshine while it lasts :)

What are your plans for June?

BBQ Fun!

On Thursday the sun was shining bright and early and with no plans, Chris and I decided to have a BBQ! We popped to Sainsbury's and filled a trolley with fizzy drinks, meat, coal and snacks and invited a few people over.
It was a lovely day and everyone definitely ate way too much!
It was a lovely way to start off the summer.

hello dearest bloglings, me again.

as always i'm on the boyfriends computer, missing the blog world oh so much.
just to inform you all though, everything is just perfect at the moment and when my internet is back on which shall hopefully be soon then i will have lots of pictures and stories to tell you all i'm sure :)
i'm also regularly reading all of your blogs too and trying my best not to abandon blogger even though i can't keep you all as updated on the happenings in my life as much as i'd like to.
but ah well, i'll try to fill you in on some things that have happened/are happening soon.

dan went off on holiday down to devon for a week leaving me stranded here with nothing to do other than play the sims and have daily 'hills' marathons. oh i live the life.
however, since he has returned the sun has been shining and life has been all good :)
yesterday we planned a 15 mile bike ride/walk, however after 3 my legs were dead and i was dieing so we had a nice relaxing day in instead.
stupid jodie being stupidly unfit.

upcoming plans however are much more exciting than my boring old summer so far, as saturday me and dan and two of my other friends are driving down to weston park to a car park cinema thing (kinda like grease) which i am way too excited for, and tomorrow me and dan are off to watch inception, which i have read many good reviews about on here and can not wait to see. and hopefully friday i will be joining a gym and getting unfit jodie fit!
i also have a wedding in a few weeks which may not be the best wedding but still, i plan to buy a new dress and be glued to my camera all day long so i'm sure everything will be all good.

anyway, must dash as the boyfriend is home.
i'll be back soon :)

oh bloggy, how i miss you.

guess who still does not have internet! oh yes, that's right me!
i promise as soon as i get my internet back i will be blogging left right and centre!
right now though i am back at sixth form catching up on my ict work and quickly sneaking in a bit of blogging :)

so.. the summer has began, feels more like autumn where i am but the sound of no sixth form for 5 weeks sounds so good that i wouldn't care if it snowed all holidays. okay, maybe i would a little.

right now dan is off on holiday and due to no internet all i really have to keep me occupied is the sims, the hills box sets, the occasional invite out by friends and lots of work.
great start to the summer ay?
however, i have plenty of plans up my sleeve for when dan does arrive home on saturday, and hopefully by then my internet is back on so i should have plenty to blog about :)

WATCH THIS SPACE.

but until then, stick around and enjoy the summer :)

i'm still here

you're probably wondering why i haven't blogged in ages!
i am too really, it's probably because if i had of blogged it would have been me moaning about something. i haven't really done much lately either so i didn't want to bore you with rants and boring posts about how i've done nothing.

firstly, thank god it's friday! :)
i love fridays, shorter day at sixth form, pay day, weekend. you know :)
i woke up a bit late today, so i was an hour late for sixth form which means an even shorter day for jodie.
last night i went to see dan's band play at the schools 'summer concert' it was good. i didn't take pictures or anything unfortunatley.
it's my last few weeks of my first year at sixth form so i've also been 'attempting' to work lots, although my attention span doesn't seem to ever want to let me, hence why i'm on here.
last weekend i just worked loads and went to a party on friday night and got quite drunk. good night though, i may post pictures from that at some point :)
this weekend i'm also working ALL weekend. but i do need the money i guess, so i'll stop complaining. although it would be nice to get a day off once in a while.
next week though we get thursday and friday off sixth form, so hello long weekend.
then one more week at sixth form after that then it's 'higher education week' meaning we go to wales to visit a uni for 2 days then we do our ucas applications which is something to do with uni but i don't actually know that much about it.
then for the two weeks after that it's work experience, which i'm doing one week at a nursery and the week after at a primary school. don't ask why i'm doing that, i left it a bit late and those who do that get stuck in schools. yay.
however! once that is over it's the summer holidays! which i'm hoping will mean lots of parties and sun bathing but in reality i'm guessing it'll be me lazing around because i'm too tired to move or me working.
so yes, i'm a very busy bee lately, so i apologise in advance for my lack of blogging.
i still do read all yours though so i haven't abondoned you all completley.
i'll try to keep you updated on everything though :)
anyway, must dash as believe it or not i have loads to do!
